He developed an interest in performing and acting when he was in his teens and tried his hand at stand-up comedy while a young man. His comedy career was not successful, though it helped pave the way to the path to a career in acting. Unable to find success as a comedian he took on a position as cameraman for a TV cable channel. As a cable station, he discovered that he would like to be in the front of cameras. He then managed to land an appearance on television and was in many seasons in Mister Rogers Neighborhood. It was no surprise that the actor quickly gained a following as a well-known TV actor. He had great goals, and began a career in film and was a household name in comedy parts. The actor gained further recognition for his portrayal of the famous character from Tim Burton's Batman. As a mature actor, he also began to venture into directing and producing. In 2014, his performance as Birdman garnered him many nominations and awards.
